Battery Operated Vehicles For Disabled

Zonal Railways have been authorized to introduce Battery Operated Vehicles (BOVs) at major railway stations for disabled, old age and sick passengers on first come first served basis through sponsorship from individuals, NGOs, Trusts, Charitable institutions, Corporates and PSUs/Corporate Houses under their Corporate Social Responsibility with no charge to passenger or to the Railway. 59 geBOVs have been provided at 40 major railway stations. 

Battery Operated Vehicles at major stations are provided depending upon the passenger traffic and availability of sponsors.
