Union minister Suresh Prabhu will inaugurate the cleanliness drive at Bandra station on Sunday at 9.30 am. Haresh Shah, founder member of MAD said that around 10,000 people have volunteered to be part of the cleanliness drive. “One task leader will be in charge of four to five stations. We will monitor the work at these stations and take updates. These updates will be given to one of the core members of MAD,” Mr Shah said.

The volunteers will clean and beautify several stations between Masjid and Thane on the Central Railway (CR) and between Churchgate and Dahisar on the Western Railway (WR). Mr Shah said citizens should start cleaning the station near their residence. “This will help them have a sense of ownership when they see someone littering.”
