Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway conducted a Safety Review Meeting today i.e., 17thJuly, 2017 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad along with Principal Heads of Departments and Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded through video conference.
The General Manager extensively reviewed the safety aspects on the Zone including monsoon patrolling, derailments occurring in yards, Loco derailments and unsafe working like gate open cases, brake bindings etc. He instructed the officials to take corrective action to negate such instances and ensure Safety. The first priority shall be Safety, he stressed.Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav perused theMonsoon readiness drill including Patrolling, monitoring ofwater levels of tanks etc.,with all the DRMs and instructed them to concentrate on important locations such as at Bridges, Girders etc.
On the Punctuality front,Shri Vinod Kumar Yad
av wanted all the Divisional Railway Managers to draw an action plan to attain optimal levelsand avoid unsafe working. He also advised that the sparing of the track for track renovation works shall be planned perfectly, so as not to effect train punctuality. He instructed officials to identify the root causes for asset failures and take corrective action and system improvements.
Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager took stock of scrap disposal in the zone and instructed the officials to meet the Railway Board’s target. He instructed the divisional officials to give full co-operation to the construction organization in completion ofthe on-going construction projects of 2017-18 within the target time.
