Planting of Saplings will make the World a better place to live -Shri V.K.Yadav, GM, SCR during Mass Tree Plantation Drive

Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, SCR participated in massive Tree Plantation programmes held at North Lallaguda Railway Colony and Alugaddabavi, Secunderabad today i.e., 7thAugust, 2017.

    Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, planted a sapling at North Lallaguda Railway colony, Secunderabad to commence the mass tree plantation drive. He called upon each o­ne of the Railway Men to plant o­ne sapling which is the need of the hour and nurture its growth, so as to enable create a greener environment. He expressed the resolve of SCR to undertake all measures towards environmental protection and conservation of nature.
General Manager also inspected the revived Old Well at Alugaddabavi, Secunderabad which is yielding good results in meeting to the demand of water supply for Coach watering facility etc., at Secunderabad Railway Station. In the premises of Old Well the General Manager and other officials planted saplings as a part of Tree Plantation Drive.  
The General Manager was joined by Shri John Thomas, Addl General Manager, Shri Arun Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division; Shri Amit Varadan, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division; Shri K.V.Sivaprasad, Principal Chief Engineer, SCR and other senior officials during the tree plantation drive. Scouts & Guides, Volunteers, Colony Residents and Employees took part in the Tree Plantation drive.
Routine Over Hauling (ROH) Shed at Sanatnagar, Hyderabad Inaugurated
Later in the day, the SCR General Manager, Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav inaugurated Routine Overhauling of Wagon (ROH) Shed at Sanatnagar, Hyderabad which will cater to periodical maintenance of Bogie Low Platform Container (BLC) Wagon. These wagons need to be serviced at a periodicity of 24 months for new Wagons and 18 months thereafter. The work involves bogie repair, body repair, under gear repair and brake system repairs of the wagons, which basically are critical inputs for safe running of goods trains. The General Manager flagged off the first empty rake comprising Overhauled Wagons.
Shri John Thomas, Additional General Manager; Shri Arjun Mundiya, Chief Mechanical Engineer, Shri A.A. Phadke, Chief Electrical Engineer, Shri Amit Varadan, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division and other Senior Officials were also present during the inauguration.
