भोपाल को मिल सकती है आगरा-मुंबई हमसफर ट्रेन; इंदौर-पटना अंत्योदय भी चल सकती है रोज

भोपाल से मुंबई और आगरा आने-जाने के लिए हमसफर और इंदौर-पटना अंत्योदय ट्रेन मिल सकती हैं। संभवत: ये हमसफर हफ्ते में तीन दिन चलेगी और अंत्योदय ट्रेन रोजाना चलेगी। इन गाड़ियों का टाइम-टेबल सितंबर अंत में घोषित किया जा सकता है।

किराया वर्तमान में चल रही ट्रेनों की विभिन्न श्रेणियों के अनुसार ही रहने की संभावना है। 
दरअसल, खासकर कैंसर रोगियों को इलाज के लिए ले जाने के लिए फुल एसी ट्रेन की आवश्यकता महसूस की जा रही थी। विभिन्न मीटिंग के दौरान भी पंजाबमेल में अक्सर लंबी वेटिंग रहने की बात जनप्रतिनिधि व रेल उपयोगकर्ता समिति के सदस्य कहते रहे हैं। आगरा-मुंबई हमसफर और इंदौर-पटना अंत्योदय ट्रेन का भोपाल में हाल्ट का समय देर शाम का हो सकता है। यानी शाम को 7 से 8 बजे के बीच यह गाड़ियां भोपाल में हाल्ट लेती हुई मुंबई व पटना के लिए जा सकती हैं। इसी तरह लौटते वक्त इनका समय सुबह के समय रखा जाएगा, जिससे आसपास के स्थानों के लोग ट्रेन आने के बाद अन्य कनेक्टिंग ट्रेनों से अपने गंतव्य की ओर जा सकें।

Indian Railways Introduces New Trains: Time Table And Other Details

Indian Railways in its new time-table has announced that it will introduce more of its niche trains -- Antyodaya Express, Uday Express and Tejas Express -- in the next 12 months. According to the Ministry of Railways' new 'Trains at a Glance' (TAG), includes the name of one new Antyodaya Express and two brand new Tejas Express trains. Two new Uday Express trains -- the AC chair car double decker trains -- have also been included in the timetable. "Since these five new trains have been included in the new timetable, it is expected that they will be introduced soon," an official told news agency Press Trust of India (PTI).

IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) offers the facility of online booking of train tickets. The advance booking for train ticket opens 120 days before the date of journey, said IRCTC on it's official website- Passengers in a ticket are assigned ticket status which can be waiting (WL), RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation), or confirmed (full berth). If the passenger status is marked as WL followed by a number, it means the passenger has a waitlisted status. This can get confirm, if passengers who have booked tickets earlier for the same journey cancel their tickets.

Achal Khare, Managing Director of the National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRCL), which is executing the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project was recently quoted in an HT report saying that the corporation is thinking over it. According to Khare, each place across the globe is different, in Japan, they took to bullet trains from a normal train. The only element which is common is a psychometry test and it will be mandatory here also since everybody’s response to a situation is different, Khare said.

RRB ALP recruitment 2018: Indian Railways to conduct exam despite Vajpayee’s death; postponed in Kerala

The railways on Thursday said the Railway Recruitment Board exams scheduled for Friday, August 17, for the post of assistant loco pilots and technicians will go ahead as per schedule. The announcement came in the backdrop of a half-day holiday declared for all central government departments today in the wake of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s demise.

“We are announcing that tomorrow’s RRB exam will be conducted in all the three shifts as per schedule. This is being done through the RRB websites. Individual SMS-es are also being sent to about 4.36 lakh candidates,” Rajesh Bajpai, Director, Information and Publicity, Indian Railways, said. He, however, added that due to the worsening flood situation in Kerala, it was not possible to conduct the exam in the southern state on Friday.

“So, the exam at the Kerala centres is being postponed,” Bajpai said. About 27,000 candidates were scheduled to appear in the RRB exam in Kerala today.

Track access charges: Indian Railways set to pay around Rs 10k crore for dedicated freight corridors starting 2020-21

Financially-overburdened Indian Railways (IR) is set to face hefty bills from the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India (DFCCIL) starting 2020-21 as the transporter has to pay the latter track access charges (TACs). DFCCIL — a special purpose vehicle of the railways which has been entrusted with the job to develop dedicated freight corridors (DFCs) in the country — plans to completely operationalise both the Eastern and the Western DFCs by March 31, 2020. TACs include part of DFCCIL’s fixed costs, variables (fuel charges, staff cost) and finance (depreciation, cost of capital and interest) costs. “About `9,900 crore will be the payment IR will make to DDFCIL in the first year.

Delhi Metro Pink Line: Delhiites to wait longer for Shiv Vihar-Trilokpuri section; this is when it will open

Commuters who were eagerly waiting for the opening of the remaining sections of Delhi Metro’s Pink Line connecting Lajpat Nagar to Shiv Vihar in the national capital will now have to wait longer. The 17.8 km long Pink Line section between Shiv Vihar and Trilokpuri, which was scheduled to open this month, is now likely to start its operations by mid-September, according to a TOI report. According to sources quoted in the report, the Shiv Vihar -Trilokpuri section, which was about to open in August, is now likely to open by mid-September as trial runs on the corridor are still on.

The section would provide connectivity to northeast Delhi areas such as Gokulpuri, Maujpur, Jaffrabad and Johri Enclave. The Welcome metro station will also get an interchange facility from where commuters travelling by the Pink Line will be able to change trains for Red Line.

Ministry of Railways launches “Digital Screens” to spread awareness about Indian Railways Heritage

Digital Screens are operational at 22 Railway Stations from Independence Day QR code based posters on Railway Heritage are also being displayed at these stations
In the wake of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision for creating digital museums at stations using QR code, Ministry of Railway has made “digital screens” operational at 22 stations on this Independence Day (15.08.2018) as an innovative low cost solution to spread awareness among public about the opulent heritage of Indian Railways. Being initiated on a pilot basis, the project aims at showcasing the legacy of Indian Railways through one to two minute-long movie clips on digital LED screens at the entrance gate of railway stations and also at different comfort areas. The short films will showcase heritage buildings, locomotives and much more to make people aware of the rich heritage of Indian Railways. For now, the digital screens have been set up at New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Howrah, Sealdah,Jaipur, Agra Cantonment, Coimbatore, Lucknow, Varanasi and other railway stations.
