Central Government employees और pensioners के परिवारों से जुड़ा एक महत्वपूर्ण medical-benefit change सामने आया है। Ministry of Health & Family Welfare ने CGHS/CS(MA) Rules, 1944 के तहत critical या terminal illness से पीड़ित dependent sons और brothers के लिए age और marital-status conditions में विशेष relaxation की व्यवस्था की है।
नई व्यवस्था के तहत, यदि dependent son या brother गंभीर/terminal illness से पीड़ित है, prescribed dependency conditions पूरी होती हैं और competent Medical Board उसकी स्थिति की पुष्टि करता है, तो medical/CGHS facilities life-long basis पर जारी रखी जा सकती हैं। पात्रता case-to-case basis पर illness की severity, functional impairment, livelihood/self-sufficiency और continuing dependency को देखते हुए तय होगी।
इसमें एक महत्वपूर्ण बदलाव marital status से जुड़ा है। ऐसे eligible dependent son या brother की शादी होने मात्र से CGHS/medical attendance facility समाप्त नहीं होगी, बशर्ते dependency और अन्य निर्धारित conditions जारी रहें। हालांकि यह relaxation spouse या children को CGHS family coverage में स्वतः शामिल नहीं करता।
Government Employees के लिए महत्व
यह उन serving employees, pensioners और family pensioners के लिए अत्यंत उपयोगी है जिनके dependent son या brother को गंभीर, chronic या terminal illness के कारण लंबे समय तक medical support की आवश्यकता है।
Practical Update
ऐसे मामलों में employee/pensioner को medical records, dependency proof और अन्य आवश्यक documents तैयार रखने चाहिए। Eligibility competent Medical Board की assessment पर निर्भर करेगी।
