Shri Suvomoy Mitra, Commissioner Railway Safety (CRS)/Eastern Circle inspected the newly constructed (22.13 km) Broad Gauge line between Hansdiha and Harlatanr stations on Mohanpur – Hansdiha section of Eastern Railway today (31.03.2023) for opening the route for running goods and passenger traffic (Electrified section). Shri V.K.Srivastava, Chief Administrative Officer (Construction)/ Eastern Railway, Shri Permanand Sharma, Divisional Railway Manager/ Asansol and other senior officers of Eastern Railway Headquarters and Asansol Division accompanied Shri Mitra during this inspection. Shri Mitra inspected station premises, Panel rooms, relay room, IPS Room, Emergency counters, signalling system, disconnection/reconnection and interlocking system of Hansdiha and Harlatanr stations.
As a part of the inspection, Shri Mitra, Commissioner Railway Safety conducted motor trolley inspection in between Hansdiha and Harlatanr stations on the new line wherein, bridges, Railway Track fittings, P-way assets and level crossing gates were also inspected. Shri Suvomoy Mitra, Commissioner Railway Safety (CRS)/Eastern Circle also reviewed the project drawing at Hansdiha station.
After the inspection, Shri Mitra also conducted Speed Trial on the new line from Harlatanr to Hansdiha stations.
