Psychometric test is a combination of personality and aptitude test for RRB. It is a computer based test (CBT) for the post of Station Master and some other post. Generally 35-150 Candidates sit for the test at a time

Question - 35 Time - 12 Min. वर्गिकरण/ बुद्धि परीक्षण (Classification/ Intelligence Test /Odd One Out) इस परीक्षण में 35 प्रश्न आते हैं तथा इनको हल करने के लिए 10 मिनट का समय मिलता है। आप को यहाँ प्रत्येक प्रश्न का उत्तर देने के लिए लगभग 17 सेकंड का समय मिलेगा इसलिए ज्यादा से ज्यादा अभ्यास करें व अपने दिमाग को एकाग्रचित्त रखें। प्रत्येक प्रश्न में 5 आकृतियाँ होगी जिनमें से 4 आकृतियाँ किसी रूप या प्रकार से समान होगी, जबकि शेष 1 आकृति भिन्न होगी जो की आप का उस प्रश्न का उत्तर होगा। निर्देश क्रम परीक्षण (Information Ordering Test) यह दिये हुए निर्देशों के अनुसार कार्य करने की योग्यता का परीक्षण है। इस परीक्षण में 25 प्रश्न आते हैं तथा इनको हल करने के लिए 10 मिनट का समय मिलता है। आप को यहाँ प्रत्येक प्रश्न का उत्तर देने के लिए लगभग 24 सेकंड का समय मिलेगा इसलिए ज्यादा से ज्यादा अभ्यास करें। संक्षिप्त संभव रास्ता खोज / स्थानिक क्षमता परीक्षण (Shortest Possible Route / Spatial Scanning Test) इस परीक्षण में 40 प्रश्न आते हैं तथा इनको हल करने के लिए 08 मिनट का समय मिलता है। आप को यहाँ प्रत्येक प्रश्न का उत्तर देने के लिए लगभग 12 सेकंड का समय मिलेगा इसलिए ज्यादा से ज्यादा अभ्यास करें। यह परीक्षण दो स्थानों के बीच संभावित सबसे छोटा रास्ता तलाशने की योग्यता का परीक्षण है जिन स्थानों को यहाँ A से Z के रूप में दर्शाया गया है। चयनात्मक ध्यान / विषम संख्याओं का योग या गिनती परीक्षण (Selective Attention / Add or Count of Odd Number Test) यह परीक्षण आप की एकाग्रता हो परखने के लिए होता है। इस परीक्षण में 30 प्रश्न आते हैं तथा इनको हल करने के लिए 08 मिनट का समय मिलता है। आप को यहाँ प्रत्येक प्रश्न का उत्तर देने के लिए लगभग 16 सेकंड का समय मिलेगा इसलिए ज्यादा से ज्यादा अभ्यास करें। प्रत्येक प्रश्न में अंकों की कतार दी होती है तथा संबन्धित उत्तर दिये गए 5 विकल्पों में से चुने। इस में से दी गई विषम संख्याओं 1,3,5 (कभी-कभी 7 और 9 भी हो सकती है) को जोड़ या गिनती कर यह बताना है की दिये गए पाँच विकल्पों में से किस विकल्प का योग या गिनती सही उत्तर प्रदर्शित करता है। व्यक्तित्व / अभिरुचि परीक्षण (Personality / Aptitude Test) इस परीक्षण में 35 प्रश्न आते हैं तथा इनको हल करने के लिए 12 मिनट का समय मिलता है। आप को यहाँ प्रत्येक प्रश्न का उत्तर देने के लिए लगभग 20 सेकंड का समय मिलेगा इसलिए ज्यादा से ज्यादा अभ्यास करें। इस परीक्षण का उद्देश्य आपकी अभिरुचियों, आपकी सोच, आपके शीघ्र निर्णय लेने की क्षमता, अपने आस पास की चीजों एवं घटनाओं के बारे में जानकारी, जनसामान्य के प्रति आपकी भावनाओं एवं व्यवहार आदि की जानकारी प्राप्त कर आपके व्यक्तित्व को आंकना होता है। आपके द्वारा दिये गए उत्तरों के आधार पर आपके व्यक्तित्व के दो विभिन्न आयामों का मूल्यांकन किया जाएगा और इस परीक्षण के आधार पर दो अलग-अलग स्कोर बनेंगे।

Test 1

Test for measuring your Intelligence

In this test each problem consists of five figures, four of which are similar in a certain way. You are required to find out the one which is different from other four.

In the example given above you will note that figure No.4 is different from the other figures.

Test for measuring your Depth Perception

In this test you will see a pile of bricks with some bricks numbered A, B, C, etc. Your task is to count the number of bricks that are touching bricks of the pile that has a letter on it. All bricks are of same size and shape.

For example, in the pile above the brick with an ‘A’ on it touches three other bricks, viz., ‘D’ and two other bricks. Brick B, C and D touch 5, 4 and 2 bricks respectively.

Test for measuring your Concentration

This is a test to find out how quickly you can compare two numbers and decide whether or not they are the same. If the numbers are the same, darken the circle ‘Y’ otherwise darken ‘N’ on your answer sheet. Do not make any marks on the booklet. Try to solve following practice problems. 1. 589 = 589 2. 2768 = 2786 3. 36463 = 36462 4. 712963 = 712963 5. 487562 = 487652 The answer for above questions are ‘Y’, ‘N’, ‘N’, ‘Y’ and ‘N’ respectively. Test for measuring your Perceptual Speed This is a test of how rapidly and accurately you can see objects in order to match them. Look at the first Bus at the left. Which one of the five at the right is most nearly like it? Bus ‘C’ is the one. Look at the second Bus at the left. Which Bus at the right is most nearly like it? Bus ‘D’ is the correct answer.

Now find most nearly matching the third and fourth ones at the left. You will find that the correct answer of Bus No.3 is ‘A’ and that fourth is ‘B’.

HOW TO RECORD YOUR ANSWER IN PAPER PENCIL MODE:

Most paper-pencil tests require you to record your answers on a separate answer sheet so that they can be scored quickly. A sample of the Answer sheet used on Indian Railways may be seen here. The answers are marked on the Answer sheet by fully darkening the circles which go with your answers. Use blue ball point pen. Remember you are not permitted to change your answers.

HOW TO RECORD YOUR ANSWER IN CBT MODE:

In computerised based test you are required to record your answers by clicking mouse on one of the alternatives for a question. A mock test will be available before aptitude test so that you can get familiar with the test.The answers marked can be changed in test within the time limit specified for the test.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO GET HIGHER SCORES? Before the Session

Don’t stay up all night. Make sure you get a good night’s sleep.
Give yourself plenty of time to get to the session so you don’t have to rush.
If you wear glasses or a hearing aid, be sure to take them with you.

At the Session

Listen carefully to the instructions.
Do exactly as you are told.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
Think about each question before answering.
Work quickly and accurately, as most test have short time limits.
Don’t waste time on difficult questions.
Try as hard as you can. The more questions you get right, the higher your score will be.
Do not try to copy the answers of your neighbor as his question booklet may be different from you.
